Samildanach — “skilled in many arts” — is one of the names of the Celtic god Lugh. An eternally young warrior and handsome king, he is one of the main rulers of the ancient mythical Tuatha Dé Danann, who led his people to victory in battle against their enemies. Lugh is the god of light and a symbol of supreme power, a trickster who defeated great kings with cunning. He wielded a magical spear that never missed its mark and mastered all the arts and crafts of his people.
